*You can reschedule 24 hours prior to your appointment, the deposit will be transferred to another appointment date BUT if less than 24 hours you will be responsible for paying another deposit and rebooking.

*A NO CALL/NO SHOW will result in your deposit being forfeited!

Aftercare Instructions

LET'S PRACTICE GOOD ORAL HYGIENE AFTER TREATMENT

1. Do not smoke, drink or eat anything BUT water the first 60 minutes after your treatment. ***Teeth whitening gel opens the enamel pores making your teeth vulnerable to the staining agents***

2. Do not smoke, drink or eat staining foods after treatment for a period of 24 to 48 hours. AVOID tea, coffee, red wine, fizzy drinks, anything with high food coloring, and tomato-based sauces etc.

3. DO NOT consume acidic drinks or foods after whitening treatment for 3 days. This could cause severe sensitivity *** Varies depending on person, this is why consulting with your technician is recommended prior to session.

Why is it so important to avoid consuming foods and drinks that contain stains??

During treatment dehydration occurs. Dehydration helps removing stain located inside the tooth structure. After whitening treatment your teeth will naturally try to absorb the water lost from saliva and liquids consumed. The process of re-absorbing this lost water lasts anywhere between 24 to 48 hours. During this time, it is very easy for stain to penetrate the enamel diminishing the whitening results. ** (HIGHLY SUGGESTED TO HYDRATE WITH LOTS OF WATER) *** If you have to have a coffee or tea in the morning, we recommend using a straw and try rinsing your mouth with water right away!

Tooth Sensitivity

Some people can experience some tooth sensitivity during the first 24-48 hours after the treatment. People with existing sensitivity, recently cracked teeth, open cavities and serve recession of the gums are more likely to experience some sensitivity due to the previous conditions. If you experience sensitivity, please use Sensodyne, sensitivity normally only last a couple of hours then disappears.

Relapse

After teeth whitening treatment, it is normal for your teeth color to return to former color. Normal and should be very gradual but it can happen quicker ***this is why it is VERY i9mportant to not expose the teeth to various staining agents such as coffee, tea, lip stick, red wine etc. During the first post-treatment hour do not eat or drink anything except water.

Allergies

Some individuals might be unaware that they are allergic to Hydrogen Peroxide substance in the whitening gel. If blisters or swelling of your lips appears hours after the professional treatment, you are most likely having an allergic reaction and you should immediately contact your dentist or physician.

Results

How long the results will last depends on two factors: Your habits and the porosity of your teeth. If your teeth are exposed to staining agents such as tobacco, red wine, tea or coffee on regular basis, your whitening results will not last as long as if you didn't use any of these products on regular basis.
